LAHORE - National ladies champion and FFC sports ambassador Ushna Suhail and her Indian partner Rushmi Chakravarthi beat Valeria Bhunu (Zimbabwe) and Alexandra Walters (Australia) 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 in the ITF Women Pro Circuit Tournament in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
In the first set, both sides held serve until first break of serve with down the line winners and good service returns from Ushna and partner, who then held serve to take first set 6-4. In the second set, the Zimbabwe-Australian duo showed high quality ground strokes and net game to win 6-3.
In super tiebreak, long rallies, point by point, neck to neck competitive spirit was shown by both the sides, with Ushna duo confirming their place in the quarters against Binasa Beslagic (Australia) and Miranda Ramirez (USA).
