RAWALPINDI - Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued notification of regularisation of 77 contract employees and 307 daily wagers of grade 1 to 17.
According to sources, the employees have been regularized on the decision of a cabinet committee. Meanwhile, the CDA has given three months extension to 1,400 other employees of Grade 1 to 16 on political and union’s pressure.
Though, 11 daily wages officers of Grade 17 were denied extension after November 30, spreading a sense of anxiety among the officers. These officials had appealed to the member admin and chairman CDA to give extension to them as well but the request was not accepted.
Meanwhile, the officers also expressed concerns over the extension in the service of a female Unit Manager on Pak-China Commercial Cultural Centre, and filed a petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) on discriminatory promotions.
