Faisal Kamran laid to rest

KHANEWAL - Assistant Director in the NAB Faisal Kamran, who was involved in the investigation of the Rental Power Projects (RPP) case and found dead in Islamabad on Friday, was laid to rest at a graveyard in Chak 129/15L, Mian Channu here on Saturday.
A large number of people from all walks of life attended the funeral prayers including National Accountability Bureau officials, local MNA, MPA and representatives of the district administration.
Faisal was found dead three days after the Supreme Court had ordered the arrest of PM Raja Parvaiz Ashraf over his alleged involvement in the Rental Power Projects corruption, when he was minister for water and power. Faisal, an officer who was tasked with investigating the corruption allegations against the prime minister, was brought to his native town.
Earlier, the father of Failsal, Abdul Hameed, a retired deputy director agriculture Queeta, his uncles Muhammad Iqbal, and Dr Tariq Masood said that Kamran Faisal was a man of strong nerves. He was honest, committed and patriotic person, they said and alleged that they never believe that, he can commit suicide. Because, they added, he was very much satisfied with his personal and official life. They also said that there are marks of torture on his. Addressing the newsman, NAB officials Muhammad Aftab, Ehtramul Haq and Ziaullah said that these type of incidents can never de-motivate the NAB.
They also demanded that the government should provide high security to the NAB officials. MNA Muhammad Aslam demanded that the chief justice of Pakistan should take a suo moto of the incident.
