MS warned of strict action

OKARA - DCO Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah paid a surprise visit to the district headquarters hospital and checked various facilities being provided to patients here the other day.
He expressed his dismay over the poor condition of cleanliness as well as absence of medical staff and directed the medical superintendent to improve the performance of the hospital otherwise strict administrative action would be taken.
He said that the Punjab government was spending huge funds to provide health facilities to the poor and added that waste of resources due to negligence would not be tolerated at any cost.
He checked outdoor, emergency ward, medical ward and pharmacy of the hospital. He asked the patients about their health.
He asked the EDO Health Dr Saeedullh Khan to present him a comprehensive report on the affairs of the hospital and suggested improvements in its service delivery.
He further said that punctuality by the medical staff should be strictly observed and strict action taken against those who were not attending their duties properly.
On the occasion, he urged the doctors and paramedical staff to promote their efforts for the provision of facilities to the patients in time.
They should also make availability of medicines possible. The DCO also visited the under construction of Cardiology ward and other posts. DO Health Dr Mohammad Ather, MS Dr Qari Mohammad Abbas also present on the occasion.
Oath taking ceremony:  The Civil Accounts Officers’ Association Bahawalpur held a ceremony where Punjab President Zafar Ali administered an oath to President Muhammad Aslam and Secretary General Hafiz Muhammad Ali.
CAOA Punjab President Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Bahawalpur Division Additional Commissioner Malik Muhammad Ramazan, Additional Commissioner Ashraf Ali Naeem and TMO Malik Saeed were also present. Addressing the ceremony President Punjab Civil Accounts Officers Association Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Kamboh congratulated the newly elected body.
