PML-Q agrees to attend ANP APC



PESHAWAR – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chairman Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Mahmood Khan Achakzai on Saturday assured to participate in the All Parties Conference (APC) to be convened by the Awami National Party (ANP) on the issue of terrorism in the country.
In order to take political and religious parties on board on the APC date, the ANP leadership has already started meeting with leadership of other parties.
In this connection, a high-level delegation of the ANP consisting of Senator Afrasyab Khattak, MNA Bushra Gohar and Senator Abdul Nabi Bangash met PML-Q President Chaudhary Shujaat Hussian in Islamabad, who was formally invited to attend the APC on terrorism.
Besides, the delegation apprised Shujaat of the objectives of the APC. The leadership of both the parties were unanimous that terrorism had put the country’s sovereignty at stake and there was a need to get united against this menace. Shujaat assured the delegation of his party’s representation in the proposed APC.
Similarly, the same delegation also met PkMAP Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai and formally invited him to the APC. Both the parties agreed to evolve a comprehensive strategy to eradicate militancy.
