Police Blind over teen girl Murder


LAHORE – An eighteen-year-old girl was found hanged from an electric pole in the Baghbanpura police precincts early Saturday.
The decease could not be identified till filing of this report.
The lawmen rushed to site and removed the body to morgue for autopsy after passersby informed them about the body near the Bhatta Machine Wala Stop on GT Road, the police said.
Calling it a ‘blind murder’, the investigators believe that killers hanged the body at night. A murder case has been registered and investigation is on.
Separately, two people were murdered in the Shahdara and Manga Mandi police limits.
Resident of Manawan, Muhammad Younis alias Jona, along with his companions was coming back after appearing in court in connection with a murder case when they were ambushed on Kala Khatai Road by four gunmen.
His friends Iftikhar and Jehangir sustained serious wounds. The police investigators said that the deceased had an enmity with many groups. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man was found slaughtered from the Manga Mandi police limits.
The deceased. identified as Amanat Ali, said to be a factory worker, was residing alone in the residential quarter on rent since his wife had left him.
The body was lying in pool of blood as the investigators reached the spot. Local residents spotted the body and contacted the police.
The police have also recovered a sharp-edge weapon from the crime scene. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy. Further investigations were underway.
