PTI lashes out at ‘corrupt, senseless’ rulers

MULTAN–PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Saturday that senseless and corrupt rulers were exploiting 180 million Pakistanis in the name of democracy.
Addressing a public gathering, he added that unemployment, lawlessness and poverty had increased manifolds in the country because of poor performance and failure of the rulers. He warned that the mood of the masses, who are being irked by terrorism, economic and other crises, had been changed and they would reject the rulers in forthcoming general elections.
“The people will never give another chance to the corrupt rulers,” he claimed. He said that corruption to the tune of Rs10 to 12 billion was being committed daily in the country and trillions of rupees were looted from the national exchequer during the last five years. He said that a common man would have got relief, if the money looted by the politicians had been spent on provision of facilities like healthcare, education and infrastructure. He said that despite committing worst ever exploitation of masses, the rulers were dreaming of coming to government again. “They should stop daydreaming,” he suggested.
He lashed out at the government and said that the Supreme Court found Raja Pervaiz Ashraf involved in rental power corruption case but the rulers made him prime minister instead of launching action against him. “It’s ironic. It’s a pity,” he regretted. He also criticised the Punjab government, saying Rs. 70 billion was spent on just one project in Lahore. “The Chief minister appears to the ruler of just Lahore. He spends over 17 billion on just one project of Lahore while on the other hand meager and highly disproportional funds are given to 13 districts of South Punjab,” he lamented.
Likewise in Nowshera Virkan, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mushtaq Ahmed strongly condemned the foreign policies of the PPP government.
He said the silence of the government over Indians terrorism at the Line of Control is a question mark. He said PPP government seems working as pro Indian government. He said that the Indian forces were killing our soldiers but the Pakistani government was promoting business activities with India which is very shameful for a true Pakistani. This critical situation is only because of unfair and incompetent rulers, he added.
He also appreciated the role of Nawa-e-Waqt Media Group to promote patriotism among the new generation. He stated that Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami is the real Pakistani defending the sovereignty and ideology of Pakistan. Criticising the ruler, he added that India is a sub state of Israel and she can never be a fried of the Muslim and Pakistan.  He especially appealed to religious leaders and scholars to play their due role in this crucial time to save ideological boundaries of the land.
