ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday directed for early investigation into the matter of alleged sexual assault attempt against a differently-abled minor girl in Punjab’s Okara district.

While taking notice of the complaint filed by the girl's mother at Pakistan Citizen's Portal, the Prime Minister directed the police to arrest the accused at the earliest besides taking legal action against them.

Investigation Officer suspended for taking bribe from victim’s mother

On the direction of the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister Delivery Unit directed the Okara District Police Officer to immediately take action in this regard. The DPO has suspended the investigation officer because he had also got bribe from the mother of the victim, according to PMDU officials. The Prime Minister Office also directed the DPO to keep it informed about the investigations.
