Four terrorists were killed in an operation carried out by Provincial Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) at Teramal locality of Dusht in the outskirts of Quetta on Wednesday morning.
According to the security forces spokesperson, four security personnel were also injured during the operation.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Abdul Razzak Cheema and Commandant FC Colonel Rab Nawaz while addressing a press conference told the terrorists were involved in the terrorist activities and target killings of the Levies personnel.
"Our fight is against terrorists and the frequency of this war has increased after May 15," Abdul Razzak Cheema further added.
He further told the media the six security personnel and a labourer were injured in the incident. A child also lost his life in the crossfire, he informed. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them.
Meanwhile, a sub-inspector police was injured and his son and father were martyred when unknown terrorists opened fire on a police vehicle in Quetta on Wednesday.
According to police sources, dead bodies and injured sub inspector were shifted to Frontier Corps Hospital in Quetta.
