Former JUI leader Mufti Aziz ur Rehman and his son have been arrested by the police in Mianwali for their horrendous act of sexual abuse.

Rehman's video went viral on the internet, in which he was seen molesting and abusing a seminary student. The video sparked outrage on the internet where thousands asked for the arrest of the Mufti.

The student had given a statement that Mufti Rehman had sexually abused him and after that his sons had threatened to kill the boy.

"If justice is not done, I will commit suicide," said the victim.

Rehman, along with his sons fled, trying to avoid getting arresting when a case was registered against them and the police conducted various raids to find them.

The superintendent Asadullah Farooq of the madrassa, where Rehman worked, said that he fired the cleric after the video went viral. He stated that Rehman and his sons were asked to leave immediately and the madrassa was not responsible for any of their evil crimes.

Moreover, JUI Lahore's secretary-general had also issued a notice stating that after the video, the party had suspended the membership of Mufti Rehman and that he would remain suspended till the investigation concludes.
