LHC adjourns LCCA case hearing

LAHORE - The Lahore High Court on Friday adjourned the hearing of LCCA President Aamir Hayat Khan Rokhris petition till March 22, challenging Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) rules regarding elections of Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA). PCBs counsel Tafazal Rizvi appeared on courts notice and submitted that PCB election rules bar MPAs, MNAs, Nazims and office bearers of the political parties from contesting the elections of LCCA. He sought time for making submissions, which was accepted and Justice Sh Azmat Saeed adjourned the hearing till March 22, directing the PCB counsel to present detailed arguments on next hearing. The petitioner MPA and President LCCA Aamir Hayat Khan challenged the PCBs election rules which restricted him from re-contesting the election being held on March 26.
