Body found from drain


LAHORE – An unidentified man was recovered dead from a drain in Sabzazar police vicinity, police said on Monday.
Police investigators suspected that unidentified killers strangulated the man somewhere else and but fled away after throwing his dead body in the drain in Sabzazar area. Some passersby noticed the dead body floating in the drain and informed the police. The police reached the spot and removed the body to the morgue for an autopsy. A police investigator said that the body was decomposed and it seemed the man was murdered a couple of days ago.
Meanwhile, two unidentified persons were recovered dead under mysterious circumstances from different parts of the City on Monday.
Police said that a passerby spotted a 50-year-old man lying dead near the Fort in Tibbi City police precincts on Monday and informed the police. Local police reached the crime scene and removed the body to morgue for an autopsy. A police official said that the man, unidentified so far, was apparently a drug addict. The police are investigating.
In another incident, a 45-year-old man was lying unconscious on a road near in Bilal Gunj market in Data Darbar police limits. Some passersby shifted him to the Mayo Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Police claimed that the deceased man, ye to be identified, was a drug addict and he died because of excessive use of drugs. The dead body was removed the morgue for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. Further investigations were underway.
