KARACHI – Clerics and religious scholars have condemned the terrorists’ attack on the mourners of Imam Hussain (RA) on Sunday night near the central mosque and Imambarghah of Abbas Town. They said, “Extremists and so-called Jihadis are killing innocent people in the name of religion. The law-enforcement agencies are required to curb down the hides of terrorists in the City and the country as well.” Islam is the religion of peace while some extremists got the wrong perception of the religion. Some ignorant people have turned the sacred concept of Jihad into brutality and cruelty, which is totally against the teachings of Islam, Quran and the great prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH), they said. They were addressing the central majalis held in various Imambarghas and mosques on Monday.Speaking at the central Majlis at Imambarghah Islamic Research Centre, Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi said that the innocent people would continue their righteous activities despite extremists had once again started killing people in the metropolis. He pointed out that no one supported the extremists while Pakistani people are behind us against the brutality of the extremist elements in the country. He also condemned the killings of Palestinians in the brutal attacks of Israel, and expressed sorrow over the lethargic behaviour of Mulsim leaders towards the issue, which needs the attention of international community. Naqvi also spoke at Islamic Research Centre (FB Area), Old Rizvia Society and Aza Khana Zehra. Maulana Shehanshah Naqvi addressed Majlis of Nishtar Park. On the other hand, Ayatullah Aquil-ul-Gharavi of India addressed at the house of Late Ali Mutaqi Jaffari, Allama Talib Johri spoke at at Samirra Imambargah (New Rizvia Society) and Shuhda-e-Karbala (Incholi), and highlighted the great role of Imam Hussain for the sake of Islam. Allama Zaki Baqri addressed various gatherings, held at Sharikat-ul-Hussain, Hussainia Iranian and Mehfil-e-Khurasan in connection with Ashra-e-Majalis, while Molana Muhammad Ali Naqvi delivered speech at Mehfil-e-Murtaza (PECHS).
