ISLAMABAD – A Multi-range of products have been put on display at the 4-day Developing 8 (D8) trade exhibition that started here on Monday with an objective to explore trade potential and develop partnerships among the members countries for overall economic development.
All the member countries including Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Turkey and the host country Pakistan have put their products on display at their designated pavilions.
“The exhibition provides an opportunity to the member countries to build partnerships with each other for the trade development,” Country Representative of Turkish Company, Dogus, Fatih Barut said.
The host Pakistan has display a range of electrical and engineering, cutlery, textiles, sports and halal products to attract attention of local as well as D8 businessmen. The stalls at Pakistani pavilion have been established to promote local products among D8 countries, officials at the stalls told APP adding that the exhibition also provides an opportunity to other member countries to promote their products in Pakistan. They were of the view that since trade promotion departments of all the D8 governments were participating in this event, so it was convenient for traders and businessmen to develop trade partnerships between themselves and help promote economy of their respective countries.
