LAKKI MARWAT - The Education Department has organised sports gala with the support of Lakki Political Agent Nisar Ahmad and Assistant Political Agent Muhammad Fayyaz Khan for the tribal students.
Physical Supervisor Qudratullah said two cricket matches were decided in the annual frontier region middle and high schools tournament. Both the matches were played in the sports complex stadium at the district headquarters complex Tajazai.
He said the organisation of sports gala was aimed at providing the tribal students with opportunities of taking part in games and healthy activities. He said that participation of state run and private middle and high schools in the tournament was satisfactory as Agency Education Officer Ghazi Khan had issued clear instructions to the educational institutions in this regard. In the first cricket match, he said, GMS Wargara defeated GMS Shah Muhammad while GHS Sargara Muhammad Khan outclassed Al-Quraish Public High School in the second match.
He told that the team of GHS Sargara Muhammad Khan also qualified for the final round competition of cricket. He added that athletics competitions would begin on November 24.
