JI stages rally against Israeli aggression




RAWALPINDI – Scores of activist of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) on Monday took out a massive protest rally against the Israel’s brazen attacks on Gaza Strip.
Under the leadership of JI Rawalpindi Ameer Sajjad Ahmed Abbasi, a large number of JI activist including Shamas-ur-Rehman Swati and Raja Jawad Ahmed gathered in front of JI Mureer Chowk Office and brought out a rally to Laiquat Bagh at Benazir Bhutto Road (BBR), triggering a massive traffic gridlock.
Holding placards and banners, the protesters bellowed slogans against the Jewish State Israel and urged the government to lift the matter in OIC and other international forums.
Sajjad Ahmed Abbasi, while addressing the protestors, vehemently denounced the Israel’s naked aggression against the innocent Palestinians and demanded of the government to register its protest on all levels. He said that time had come to say goodbye to the United Nations (UN) as it has become a puppet at the hands of USA and Israel. The UN had also badly failed to solve the Palestine and Kashmir issues, he regretted.
Abbasi said that Muslim countries should shun their differences and come forward to stop the brutal acts of the Israel. He said that innocent Muslims were being killed by Israel aircraft while the Muslim countries were doing nothing.
He paid rich tributes to Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi for raising the issue and urged the Muslim countries to stand up to stop Israel from killing innocent Muslims.
Meanwhile, JI Rawalpindi chapter condemned a suicide attack on JI former Ameer Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmed at Mohmand Agency and asked the government to unveil the hands involved behind the attack.
