Khosa to stay in Europe for another 5 days

LAHORE – Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has extended his stay abroad for another five days.
He was on a week-long visit to Europe and was scheduled to return on November 19. He would now be coming back to Lahore on November 23, said sources in the Governor House.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal has been working as the acting governor since November 12. Taking advantage of Khosa’s absence, he also signed six bills passed by the Punjab Assembly, which might have been blocked by the governor.
The Metro Bus Authority Bill and the Local Government amendment) Bill are the most important approved legislations. The former provides legal cover to the Metro Bus Service while the latter allows another six months delay in LG elections.
