LAHORE: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb visited the residence of the late singer A Nayyar on Sunday for offering condolence to his family.

She expressed her grief with the wife and brother of the deceased. She termed A Nayyar an asset of the country and said that the vacuum created by his demise would not be filled for long.

She said that the singer was a symbol of inspiration for the new generation as he earned a name in the singing when no channel existed other than Pakistan Television.

She said that the government would provide all out support to the family of the deceased.
