Preparations underway to counter PTI’s expected long march

The government on Tuesday started preparations to deal with the expected long march and sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).

According to the sources, special arrangements have been made to throw tear gas shells on the protestors through drones during the expected long march, while 3,000 FC officials have reached Islamabad from other provinces. The federal police have called for 30,000 personnel from provinces.

Sources privy to the matter said that apart from the police, FC and Rangers, hundreds of canters will also be set up while trenches will be dug along with the canters at the entrances. Meanwhile, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have not yet decided to provide personnel.
