Nothing settled with govt over no-trust move, says Tariq Cheema

LAHORE    -    Federal Minister for Housing Tariq Bashir Cheema Friday refuted the claim of Federal Information Minister Fawad Ch that matters regarding the no-confidence motion had been settled with the PML-Q, an allied party of the government. “There is no truth in Fawad Chaudhry’s claim that everything has been settled with the PML-Q [over no-confidence motion],” he said while talking to media. Talking about the Friday’s meeting between PML-Q leader Ch Parvez Elahi and Fawad Chaudhry in Islamabad, the federal minister said nothing but the issues related to PECA ordinance came under discussion in that meeting. “I think, we should leave politics if we have to discuss political issues with Fawad Chaudhry,” he said, adding that only the prime minister and the members of the ministerial committee had the mandate to discuss political matters with the PML-Q. Meanwhile, PML-Q’s spokesperson Kamil Ali Agha Friday said the PML-Q would remain an ally of the government as long as the PTI’s own parliamentary party was intact. “The PML-Q is and still remains an ally of the government. But if the ruling party does not remain intact, the PML-Q will take its own decision,” he told a news channel.
