PTI workers stage protest against dissident members

MULTAN   -   A large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers staged protest demonstration against the disgruntled members of the party here on Sunday.

The participants were carrying banners inscribed with slogans against disgruntled party members and chanting slogan in support of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The protestors said that the protest would continue against the members for deceiving Imran Khan and the party on the crucial stage. They said that people were participating in the protest against the disgruntled members from all constituencies and number of participants would be increased in the next protest.

They demanded of the disgruntled members to return to the party otherwise there would be no space for them in their constituencies. They also express solidarity with Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that they would continue supporting PM Imran Khan as he was the only hope for the country.

Committee formed at divisional level for wheat procurement scheme 2022-23

The arrangements for wheat procurement and gunny bags distribution have been kicked off across Multan Division.

The committee headed by Commissioner Multan division Dr Irshad Ahmad as convener has been constituted at divisional level for wheat procurement scheme 2022-23 as per directions of Punjab government whereas Deputy Director Food was deputed as secretary of the said committee. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Region, Director Agriculture and two individuals from Civil Society were also the part of the committee.

The committee will be responsible for the smooth redressal of grievances and implementation of the policy guidelines during wheat procurement scheme 2022-23. Commissioner Dr Irshad Ahmed has issued circular to the Deputy Commissioners of the Division to notify the district committees and to hold meetings to review the wheat procurement campaign in detail.

MD WASA urges citizens not to put floating material in sewer system

Managing Director WASA Qaisar Raza on Sunday urged the citizens to avoid throwing waste, plastic bags and other floating material into sewerage system which creates troubles for the department as well as citizens.

The construction of additional manhole has been completed at Ghanta Ghar chowk as sewerage system of Hussain Agahi Hathar road was choked off for last four days due to shopper bags and other floating material entered into the sewer system via drains water of walled city area.

On which MD WASA had ordered for construction of additional manhole and utilization of all possible resources to provide temporary relief and report was submitted with MD office today in this regard.

The report regarding crown failure at Al-Falah market New Multan was also presented to MD WASA and he directed all safety measures on the site and launching of repairing work as early as possible.
