CPO holds meeting to review district’s crime situation

RAWALPINDI -City Police Officer (CPO) Umer Saeed Malik on Thursday held a meeting at Police Line to review the crime situation in the district. Among others, SSP Operations Wasim Riaz, SSP Investigation Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, SP CIA Tariq Mehboob and SP Security Faisal Salim attended the meeting. The CPO was briefed by the subordinates that snap checking is being done across the district. Police are also checking the data of cars and motorcycles through e-police post app. Moreover, massive search operations are also being conducted in the city to flush out the anti-social elements. Police are utilising all available resources to crush the crime.
Meanwhile, CPO Umer Saeed Malik paid a visit to PS Chontra and Chakri Chowky and inspected front desk, lock-ups, records, cleanliness and buildings. He was flanked by SSP Investigation Wasim Riaz, SP Saddar Ahmed Zunair Cheema, SDPO Saddar Abdul Sittar Khan, SHO PS Chontra SI Yasir Mehmood and other officers. The CPO directed the subordinates to evolve a comprehensive strategy and beef up security to curb the crime in the district and behave with visitors politely, providing them with speedy justice.
Earlier, the city police chief also held open court during which dozens of citizens tabled their complaints against police officers. The CPO issued on the spot orders for resolving public complaints.
SSP Operations Wasim Riaz also paid a visit to different areas of the city to review security arrangements. He issued directions to officers on duty to shield public lives and property.
