Young boy dies amid firing between police, robbers

RAWALPINDI   -  A 12-year old boy suffered fatal bullet injuries and died on the spot after being stuck in the middle of firing between a gang of robbers and police personnel in limits of police station Pirwadhai, informed sources on Monday.


According to sources, a police party was on routine checking when the suspects opened fire on police party.  A young boy identified as Abdul Ahad caught into cross firing and died on the spot. The police   shot and injured a robber and held him. The other two robbers managed to escape from the scene, sources said, adding that the injured robber and the dead body of the boy sent to DHQ Hospital for autopsy.


Meanwhile, a young man was shot dead by unknown killers in Bangish Colony of Pirwadhai area. Heavy contingent of police rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. Body of the deceased was moved to hospital for autopsy.
