Three hotels sealed on violation of Ramazan Ordinance

BUREWALA    -    District administration on Sunday sealed three hotels on charges of violation of Ramazan Ordinance here.  According to official sources, Assistant Commissioner Burewala inspected different markets to check hotels.


Three hotels namely Turbat Restaurant, Pathan Hotel and Makkah Restaurant were sealed on violation of Ramazan Ordinance. The administration also imposed fine Rs 30,000 per each hotel on violation.


5000 liters substandard

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Sunday during an operation recovered more than 5,000 liters substandard cooking oil from a factory which was producing cooking oil from animal fats.


According to PFA spokesman, the Authority with the help of Special Branch Police raided the Poultry Protein Feeds Factory at 513 / EB Mianchun Road where cooking oil was being prepared from the fat. The PFA team seized 5000 liters of cooking oil prepared in drums, seized it, sealed the factory and started further operations.


According to PFA, Samosas were also supplied to shops selling Pakoras and many hotels and thus these people were playing with human lives. The team registered a case against factory owner under Food Purity Act.


Seven vehicles impounded over missing documents


Multan District Transport Authority (DTA) impounded seven vehicles over missing documents and driving license during a crackdown launched against traffic rules violators here on Sunday morning.


In line with special directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC), the District Transport  Authority under the supervision of senior officials conduct a special operation to control road mishaps by launching a crackdown against the vehicles without complete documents and driving license of drivers.


The team impounded seven vehicles and issued warning to various others over missing documents and driving license.


The official said that crackdown would be continued on daily basis to control road mishaps by taking action against drivers without driving license.
