LAHORE   -   The district administration imposed a fine of Rs233,500 on various shopkeepers for overcharging in the provincial capital during the last 24 hours. A spokesperson for the district administration said on Monday that the price control magistrates got registered nine FIRs against profiteers, and, 424 inspections were also carried out.

during the same period, out of which, 50 violations were found.

On the directions of Lahore Deputy Commissioner Umar Sher Chattha, the inspection teams visited various shops in different markets and Ramazan bazaars to ensure availability of commodities at official rates.
