PLL receives 12 bids for supply of six spot LNG cargoes

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has received 12 bids for the supply of six spot LNG cargoes, with up to $31.73/MMBtu quote, for deliveries in May and June. However, Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) didn’t receive any bid for delivery of seventh cargo on June 1-2 window.

On April 17, Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) had floated tenders for six spot cargoes for deliveries in May and June. PLL had invited bids for the month of May, for the windows of 12-13 May, 17-18 May and 27-28 May. Similarly for June deliveries the bids are invited for the supply of three cargoes for the windows of 1-2 June, 6-7 June and 16-17 June. Against the tenders for six cargoes PLL has received bid for five cargoes as no company responded to one delivery window on June 1-2. For the first tenders of six cargoes PLL has received 10 bids for the supply of five cargoes.

Meanwhile, after the default of ENI on contractual LNG cargo supply scheduled for May 1, the PLL had floated an emergency tender for one spot cargo, on April 20, for supply window of May 1-2. For the emergency tenders for the supply of one cargo, PLL has received two bids. Bids for both the tenders were opened on April 21, 2022.

Against the emergency tender for the supply of May 1-2 window TotalEnergies Gas & Power quoted $29.67/MMBtu and Vitol Bahrain has offered $29.7920/MMBtu. TotalEnergies Gas & Power was declared lowest evaluated bidder with the offer of $29.67/mmbtu.

Pakistan LNG Limited didn’t receive any bid for delivery of seventh cargo on June 1-2 window

For May 12-13 delivery, two bids were received with Vitol Bahrain at $32.5920/MMBtu and Qatar Energy Trading quoted $24.15/mmbtu. Qatar Energy Trading was declared the lowest evaluated bidder.

For May 17-18 window only single bid from Vitol Bahrain was received. Vitol quoted $31.77/mmbtu for the supply and was declared lowest evaluated.

For May 27-28 deliveries two bids were received from Vitol Bahrain at $29.0560/MMBtu and Total Energies at $26.87/MMBtu. Total Energies with the quote of $26.87/MMBtu has been declared lowest evaluated bidder.

For June 16-17 deliveries two bids were received from Vitol Bahrain at $ 31.73/MMBtu and Qatar Energy Trading at $27.65/MMBtu. Qatar Energy Trading with the quote of $27.65/MMBtu has been declared successful bidder.

For June 16-17 window three bids were received from Vitol Bahrain at $31.6940/MMBtu, Total Energies $29.04/MMBtu and OQ Trading at $30.46/MMBtu. Total Energies with the quote of $29.04/MMBtu has been declared lowest evaluated bidder.
