Pak army troops Saturday recovered a dead body of an abducted cousin of Shaheed Lt Col Laiq Baig Mirza during a search operation against terrorists in Warchoom, Ziarat.
During the ongoing recovery operation linked with the abduction of Umer Javed, another terrorist's hideout has been identified and cleared by security forces.
During the exchange of fire, two terrorists have been killed and sophisticated weapons and ammunition have been recovered.
After the clearance of the hideout, the entire area was sanitized. During the search of the area, unfortunately, a dead body of Shaheed Lt Col Laiq’s cousin Umer Javed Shaheed has been found in a nearby Nullah, 5 Kms from Warchoom towards Khalifat Mountains.
As per the assessment, the terrorists had killed Omer Javed immediately after the abduction. The search operation against the terrorists is continued in the area to apprehend the remaining 3 to 4 perpetrators who are on the run.
