Mardan   -  As many as 37 people including 5 proclaimed offenders were arrested during raids in the district on Tuesday. 

Talkking to The Nation, DPO Dr Zahidullah Khan said that besides the arrests, the cops also recovered more than 2kg charas, Kalashnikov and a rifle. Several pistols and bullets were also recovered. 

He said that five proclaimed offenders, who were nabbed, were already wanted by the police in various cases, while another 32 people were arrested during snap checking on various routes in the district. 

He said the cops in another raid arrested an alleged robber who had looted the house of a widow and recovered Rs300000 and other items stolen from the house.
