Mardan - The district administration, on the recommendations of the Health Department, on Tuesday imposed smart lockdown in several areas of 16 union councils to control spread of COVID-19 pandemic, a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Arif said.
The notification said that due to reported COVID-19 positive cases and keeping in view the recommendation of health authorities through District Health Officer (DHO), the following localities of Mardan district had been identified as areas to be put under smart lockdown.
The component authority is pleased to order smart lockdown of these for a minimum period of 14 days in different areas of 16 union council of Mardan district including Union Council Par Hoti areas Iqbal Colony and Gulshan Colony, Uunion Council Hoti areas Aladad Khel and Landaki, UC Mardan rural area Narai Baja, UC Khazana Dheru areas Sheikh Yousaf and Chamtar, UC Baghdada areas Kuz Kandi and Haji Korona, UC Manga areas Sher Dil Khan Kalay, Muslimabad, Karwan Road and Inam street, UC Garhi Kapura areas Mohallah Aryatan, Bakal Khel and Balar Khel, UC Mayar areas Ghanichi Mohallah, Kata Khat, Zahidabad, Pat Baba area Mohallah Sharifabad, Lundkhwar area Landy Shah, Baizo Kharki areas Ikrampur and Torzai, palazay, Dheri Khas and Likpani. It was further stated in the notification that smart lockdown in these areas were imposed under section 8 and 21 of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Epidemic Control and Emergency Relief Ordinance 2020.
and under section 22 of the National Disaster Management Authority (Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ) Act 2020 for 14 days.
