Government removes IG Islamabad after mob succeeds entering in red zone

Islamabad- Amid protest sit-in in heart of Islamabad, Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar today sacked top police official Aftab Cheema.

According to sources, discussion of removing current IG Islamabad Aftab Cheema was taken after mob of thousands workers of PTI and PAT stormed into red zone of the capital without any resistance from police.

There arrangement of security in red zone was not sufficient as mob easily broke all hurdles and entered into the most sensitive area of the capital.

DIG Khalid Khatak has been given additional charge of IG Islamabad, sources added.
