ISLAMABAD - Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Monday said it had not issued any instruction
regarding freezing of bank accounts held by non-filers. In a statement issued here, FBR said in order to allay the misconception being caused by a segment of print media
regarding freezing of bank accounts held by non-filers of income tax return, it is
clarified that FBR had not issued any such instructions. It further clarified that Income tax law does not restrict banking transactions out of bank accounts held by any
person whether filer or non-filer.–APP
