49 Ashura processions taken out in Attock amid tight security

ATTOCK - Ashura was observed throughout the district with religious solemnity and peace to commemorate the great martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in the desert of Karbalah for the glory of Islam. About 49 Ashura processions of Alam-o-Zuljinnah were taken out from different areas of the district amid tight security. 
All the processions ended peacefully at their respective destinations. The main Ashura procession was taken out from Imambargah Hussainia Kamalpur Syedan Attock with the participation of a large number of mourners. 
They were reciting Nohas while beating their chests. They also performed zanjeer zani and were provided medical treatment by a mobile medical team on the spot. Police and other law enforcement agencies kept strict vigil on the entry routes of these processions. The main Zuljinnah procession was taken out from Imambargah Kamalpur Syedan in Attock Cantt and ended peacefully at Karbala Haleem Shah. 
DPO Attock, ASP Attock, Chief Officer MC Attock, Assistant Commissioner, DSP Saddar Circle, Chief Security Officer and others monitored the procession. President Anjuman Janisaran-e-Hussain Imambargah Punjatani thanked local administration and law enforcement agencies. Faithful remained disciplined during procession and were served water and milk arranged on the route of the procession. 
Chief Security Officer Attock Muhammad Naeem told media persons that during the days of holy month of Muharram, 798 Majalis and 145 Zuljinnah processions were taken out throughout the district and specifically on the day of Ashura 49 procession, 78 Majalis and Sham-e-Ghareban were held in 35 Imambargahs throughout the district.  
During the processions, Syed Zulfi Bukhari, Provincial Minister Social Welfare and Baitulmal Yawar Abbas Bukhari, District President Shia Ulema Council Waqar Hussain, and Member Regional Ulema Peace Community Khadim Naqvi were also present.
