ISLAMABAD - US filmmaker, blogger and social media activist Cynthia D Ritchie was found unconscious in her flat located at Diplomatic Enclave, informed police and sources on Friday. 
Interestingly, no staff of US embassy either visited police station or hospital to enquire about the health/facts of the case, according to a senior police officer.
“We received Cynthia in an unconscious state and started giving her medicines,” said a doctor. He added she was tranquillised by paramedics and samples taken from her stomach were sent to Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory Lahore for medical examination. He said doctors were waiting for issuance of medical reports.
SSP Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanweer, when contacted, confirmed Cynthia D Ritchie was shifted to the Polyclinic by her neighbour after she was found unconscious in the building at Diplomatic Enclave. He said police are interrogating the case but the victim had not recorded her statement yet before the investigators. 
Meanwhile, a police team, led by SP City Zone Rana Wahab, visited the building in Diplomatic Enclave and also checked the flat of American national, said sources adding that the SP also questioned a large number of people residing in the building or in neighbourhood of Cynthia D Ritchie. They said SP also grilled the man who had found her unconscious and brought to hospital.
