SNGPL joins hands with WWF Pakistan

LAHORE (PR): SNGPL is partnering with WWF Pakistan regarding the Agro Waste Project. The total cost of the project is Rs 4.9 million. The project is being carried out through multiple field activities in central Punjab, south Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through capacity building workshops, on-site demonstration of agro-waste gasifiers and distribution of gasifier units among rural families and small businesses. Through this project, 525 rural and farming families, small culinary businesses and 20 local vendors/technicians are being facilitated. More than 44 fabricators/local technicians have been trained on gasifier fabrication procedure etc.
In this regard, a gasifier distribution ceremony was held at Village Matta, District Kasur. Farrukh Majeed, General Manager HSE SNGPL, and Hammad Naqi Khan, Director General WWF Pakistan, along with other officials of SNGPL and WWF Pakistan attended the ceremony. Gasifiers units were distributed among the community.

BISC 2018 begins in Oman

LAHORE (PR): The third in the series, Beaconhouse International Student Convention 2018 (BISC 2018) commenced Tuesday at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman.
The occasion was graced with the presence of His Royal Highness HH Sayyid Farisbin Fahar Al Said, chairman of the Board of Directors, Al Suwaiq Football Club, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman Ali Javed. Also in attendance were dignitaries from the Malaysian and the Philippines embassies and the Beaconhouse senior management.
BISC 2018 features a host of activities & competitions from various spheres of learning ranging from sports and athletics to science, technology, the visual & performing arts and filmmaking. Over 200 Beaconhouse students from 5 countries are taking part in these events, utilising a diverse set of skills that reinforce 21st century learning. Other than the 200 students present in Muscat, thousands of Beaconhouse students worldwide have participated in activities in their home countries (Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, & Thailand) in order to qualify for BISC.

Nestlé Purina launched in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (PR): In collaboration with Labrador Retriever Club of Pakistan, Nestlé recently launched one of its world’s renowned pet food brands, Nestlé Purina.
This is the first time ever that an internationally renowned premium pet food brand will be launched in Pakistan. Nestlé Purina is the global leader in pet food for over 80 years, and has provided value to consumers by providing high-quality, nutritious pet products that can help enrich their pets' lives.
To mark the launch of the brand, a dog show was held at the Rafi Cricket Stadium which was judged by the renowned dog breeder Tabatha Buckley Bettis, who traveled to Pakistan all the way from United States, particularly to be part of the guests’ panel.
Tabatha has judged in many countries including Australia, USA, Canada, Ireland, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand and Indonesia.
