LAHORE- Jail staff in Punjab has been receiving up to Rs 3.2 million in extortion every month, according to an intelligence report prepared by the agencies. In return for providing mobile phone facility to inmates and turning a blind eye to the security arrangements. Only five detention facilities have mobile phone jammers installed. 32 jails in Punjab are overcrowded with over 22000 prisoners. The report also reveals names and phone numbers of the inmates using mobile phone in the jails.
