Water crisis in Sehwan

Water is a necessity for all living beings. These days, the city Sehwan has been facing to crisis of water for a long time. The holy month of Ramadan came and went, but still, the people of the city are worried about having access to water. Even after fasting the whole day, people ended the fast seeking and asking for water due to shortages. The tanker mafias demand Rs.1500 to 2000 for providing a tank of water, which the poor cannot afford. Here in the city, there are so many R.O plants installed but all are out of order as well.

In this way, citizens are at risk of consuming poisonous water which causes many diseases, as society is also currently facing the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the lack of water in the mosques, devotees (prayers) are deprived of ablution.

It’s our basic right to demand the government of Sindh, concerned ministries and management of water supply municipal committee and public health, kindly take action against these issues and crisis to supply properly and pure water to keep people safe from demise.

BABAR SATTAR HALEPOTO,

Sehwan.
