Oct 28 rally for survival of country, says Shahbaz

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that October 28 rally of PML-N is not political but for the survival of the country and people will have to decide whether they will have to save Pakistan or not. Addressing meetings of Ulema of different schools of thought, women assembly members and officebearers regarding the scheduled event on Thursday, he said plundering of national wealthy by the federal government was unprecedented in 64 years history of the country. Provincial Ministers Haji Ehnasuddin Qureshi, Ch Abdul Ghafoor, Member National Assembly Kh. Saad Rafiq and Advisor Zakia Shahnawaz were also present on the occasion. He said that corruption had ruined the national institutions and pushed the country into darkness. The CM further stated that if people did not rise today for the survival and solidarity of the country, the coming generations will never forgive us. He vowed to sacrifice his life for the survival of Pakistan. The CM said that PML-N had come out for fighting a war of survival of country. He said that plundering, price hike and the worst loadshedding had made the life of the people miserable. He said that no serious effort was made for generation of energy during the last three and a half years but the 900MW Nandipur and Chichoki Malian projects had also not been completed due to corruption; with the result that these projects will now be completed after delay of two more years besides an additional expenditure of Rs.18 billion. He said that the deficit of PIA, Railways and other national institutions had reached to 350 billion rupees. He said that Pakistan had been disgraced and hunger and poverty was rampant in the country and the judiciary was being ridiculed.
