The Punjab Home Department Thursday directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to suspend internet services specific areas of Lahore.

According to the copy of the home department's letter to the PTA that directive has been issued in response to a a protest oragnised by a banned outfit in Lahore. 

The PTA has been directed to immediately suspend internet services in Samanabad, Sheerakot, Nawankot, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Sabzazar and Iqbal Town.
