ISLAMABAD - A soldier of the Pakistan Army was martyred when terrorists fired at a military post in Hangu’s Thall area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate said on Wednesday.

The military’s media wing further said that the troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists. “

Terrorists fired at a military post in Thall, Hangu District late last night. Troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists. During exchange of fire, Sepoy Waqas, age 26 years, resident of Mansehra embraced Shahadat,” said the press statement. It said the area clearance was also carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. 

On October 18, a soldier of the Pakistan Army was martyred when terrorists fired on a security forces’ post in Spinwam, North Waziristan district of KP.
