Mangla Dam reaches highest level

MIRPUR (APP): Mangla Dam has reached at its climax after being filled to the maximum level of 1242.00 feet, official sources said. Due to the heavy rains and consequent flooding of the rivers and streams at the upper reaches, the water level in the country’s largest reservoir Mangla Dam has risen to the highest level. Both inflow and outflow of water of main Jhelum river including the subordinate Poonch river and other subordinate seasonal streams in Mangla dam, was recorded as 60,700 cusecs on Friday night.
