Peshawar - Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on Monday denied entry to many commuters who had not got vaccinated against coronavirus as the company made vaccination certificate mandatory for using the service.
A spokesman for TransPeshawar, Umar Khan, said that the decision was in compliance with the directions from the government in order to ensure that maximum people get their vaccination done.
He said that since the very beginning, TransPeshawar had ensured implementation of SOPs regarding COVID-19 and face masks have been a must for all commuters and staff.
He said the BRT staff had already been vaccinated. He said that passengers with a single dose of vaccine can also travel in BRT whereas people with no dose of vaccination would not be allowed to commute in the service.
