Star rating system to determine quality of hotels, restaurants across Punjab

LAHORE    -   A globally motivated rating programme is launched by the Punjab food authority to rate the restaurant according to their cleanliness, services, ambiance, taste and quality.

Star Rating programme application will recognize, motivate, appreciate, audit, support and reward the restaurants according to their performance after evaluation. Stars from 1 to 5 will be given to the res­taurants included in the programme after evaluation of their service, taste and quality. According to a sur­vey almost 59pc people are consuming unhygienic food. This programme will help people to chose the right restaurant with required hygiene standards. The slogan of the Star Rating Program is, “ Select restaurant by choice not by chance”. 

As per details, every restaurants will have to go through this process four times a year after the complete implementation across Punjab. This application is available at Google Play store for downloading. Customer feedback regarding taste and quality will also be considered while starring the restaurant. Restaurant is a second place after home where people tend to visit frequently to en­joy their favorite tasty cuisines and food items to spend quality time with friends and family.

Now with the help of star rating programme appli­cation people will get to know the standard and qual­ity of food and services before dining in the restau­rants. This will not only help to select good restaurant but will also save their money and time as well.

Newly appointed chairman Punjab Food Author­ity, Ali Raza Khan Khakwani officially launched Star Rating application to evaluate the hygiene, services and quality of food in the restaurants.

On the special instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister, the pre-launch of Stars Rating System application was commenced by the Punjab Food Authority chairman. The star rating system will determine the quality of hotelsand restaurants across the province after evaluation as per the international rating standards.
