BAHAWALPUR:-A Chital deer gave birth to two baby deer here in Bahawalpur Zoo, attracting a large number of citizens to the zoo to celebrate arrival of the two fawns. According to Ayub Sabir, Curator at the Bahawalpur Zoo, special arrangements have been made to take special care of the fawns and save them from cold. He said both the babies are healthy. The chital or cheetal, also known as spotted deer or axis deer, is a species of deer that is native in the subcontinent.

A visitor told this correspondent that he has come to the zoo along with his two sons to see the two fawns. He said there is a huge crowd gathered around the cage to witness the cute little fawns.
There is great rush at the zoo, especially at the cage where the fawns have been kept as everyone, especially the kids are anxiously trying to capture a glimpse of the babies.
