The blockbuster has broken records of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and has become the first Pakistani film to cross Rs 500 million worldwide.

Humayun Saeed took to social media to congratulate the team of the movie and wrote, “So humbled by the continuous love you have shown to Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Thank you for making it the highest grossing Pakistani film ever! Masha Allah.”

Mehwish Hayat also expressed her feeling and wrote, “That moment when your film becomes Pakistan’s biggest film of all time crossing the Rs500 million mark worldwide MashaAllah! Your Amal Dastoor Ahmed and Fawad Khagga are all smiles and the credit goes to you! Thank you fans, followers and well wishers, it wouldn’t have been possible without your endless love n support. I would like to thank you all on behalf of team Punjab Nahi Jaungi for making it such a huge success not only in Pakistan but also worldwide. Truly humbled and overwhelmed. Ab main Punjab zaroooor Jaungi!”

Talking to The Nation, director of the film Nadeem Beyg said, “I am really happy that ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ is getting appreciated all over the world. I would like to thank the team behind PNJ, without their support this would have not been possible. I still feel our industry needs to have good script writers and directors as well. We are moving towards revival but if two films in a year generate good business and rest fails at the box-office that’s actually not revival,” Nadeem said.
