A PIA A-320 carrying over 100 passengers landed at Skardu Airport, says a PIA press release issued here. Previously smaller aircraft such as Fokers, ATRs and B-737s linked Islamabad with Skardu. The A-320 has a much larger seating capacity. The scenic natural beauty and views of some of the world’s highest peaks attract many tourists to Skardu. This will further facilitate tourism and economic improvement of the region towards realising the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
