SBP intervention: Dollar rate goes down by 20 paisas

LAHORE: Dollar rate in interbank market has reduced by 20 paisas due to the intervention of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Owing to this decrease in rate, dollar interbank rate stands at Rs 122. In open market, the buying rate of the dollar has come to Rs 124 and selling rate Rs 130.60.

The currency dealers have said due to escalating rate of the dollar the SBP held a hurriedly called meeting.

The dealers said the dollar rate will further go down in the coming days.
