BAHAWALPUR    -   Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench Judge Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan has said that the 275th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Bahawalpur will be celebrated with pomp and ceremony.

These  views were expressed by Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan, Mr. Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu, Mr. Jus-tice Sultan Tanveer Ahmed, Senior Additional Registrar High Court Muhammad Shahid Hussain, Com-missioner Bahawalpur Division Raja Jahangir Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia, Vice Chan-cellor Islamia University Professor Dr. Athar Mehboo.

He addressed the inauguration of the Secretariat for the 275th Anniversary of the Establishment of the State of Bahawalpur.

On this occasion, the convener and members of the committees set up to conduct the ceremonies in a splendid manner also attended and briefed about the performance of their respective committees and the conduct of the ceremonies.  Justice Shujaat Ali Khan said that it was the need of the hour to acquaint the new generation with the times of Bahawalpur state.

He said that these events would play a key role in raising awareness about the justice system and good governance model of the state of Bahawalpur.

 Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Raja Jahangir Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia and Vice Chancellor Islamia University Prof. Dr. Athar  Mehboob informed about the 275th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Bahawalpur. Regarding the 275th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Bahawalpur, the Additional Deputy Commissioner informed about the history and cul-ture of Bahawalpur in the secretariat set up in the office of the headquarters. An exhibition of regional handicrafts was also organized.

Later in Bahawalpur, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Raja Jahangir Anwar and Deputy Commission-er Irfan Ali Kathia gave a briefing at Gymkhana Bahawalpur regarding the 275th anniversary of the es-tablishment of Bahawalpur State and said that Gazetteer of Bahawalpur Division, historical brochure, documentary, Film and other awareness documents will be compiled.
