Three persons die in separate mishaps in Kasur

KASUR - Three persons were killed in three different incidents in Kasur. In the first incident, A youth was killed in road mishap here in the limits of Sarai Mughal police station, while a 14-year-old boy died during jubilant firing at a wedding function here in the limits of Kot Radha Kishan police station on Sunday. According to police, 35-year-old Mohammad Shakeel was hit by an unidentified speeding van on Balaywala Khowa road near Sarai Mughal area. Shakeel, only brother of six sisters, suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. The unidentified van driver sped away his vehicle from the scene. Police rushed to the spot, assumed custody of the body and shifted it to a local hospitalFurther investigation was underway.

In the second incident, police said that Zahid Ali had arranged a function in connection with his wedding in Kot Asa Singh village during which an unidentified man resorted to aerial firing. A stray bullet caused head injury to teenager Anees. He was shifted to THQ hospital in critical condition but failed to survive.Police launched investigation. In third mishap, a motorcyclist was killed in a road mishap on Kasur-Lahore road on Sunday.

According to police, Faisal (32), r/o Sarhali Kalan area in Mustafabad, was riding towards Lahore on a motorcycle when he was hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle coming behind him. He died on the spot while the driver fled from the scene. On information, the police rushed to the spot, took the body into custody, and shifted it to DHQ hospital Kasur. Mustafabad police launched investigation.

Youth arrested 

for killing sister

The police on Sunday arrested a youth who allegedly killed his sister in the limits of Sarai Mughal police station. Police said that Iqbal, resident of Kot Bhatiwala Baran Kalan village, suspected that his sister Nighaat Bibi had illicit relations with a boy, accused killed his sister last night and fled. On the report of mother of victim, Fatima Bibi, Sarai Mughal police arrested accused Iqbal and registered a case against him. Further investigation was underway.

15 shops sealed over 

corona SOPs violation

Assistant Commissioner (AC) Kot Radha Kishan sealed 15 shops on Sunday over violations of coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) here.

Assistant Commissioner Raja Qasim Mehboob Janjua visited general market in Kot Radha Kishan and sealed 15 shops on-the-spot for violating SOPs. Speaking on the occasion, AC said that due to third ongoing wave of coronavirus, all the people including traders, should cooperate with the district government and ensure implementation of anti-coronavirus SOPs.
