HYDERABAD - The district management Hyderabad will organise two day mango show at Expo Centre from June 19, 2021 aimed to attract traders to export different varieties of mangoes and earn valuable foreign exchange for the country. It has been decided in a video link meeting presided over by the Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch at Shahbaz Hall on Friday. The Deputy Commissioners of Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan and Matiari as well as representatives of growers organisations including Ali Palh, Mehmood Nawaz Shah and Dr Zulfiqar Yousufani attended the meeting through video line while the Director General (DG) Agirculture Extension Hidayatullah Chachro and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hyderabad Fuad Ghaffar Soomro attended the event in person. The commissioner said agriculture is the backbone of the economy of the country and organising vegetable and fruits exhibitions could introduce and promote the produces both at national and international markets.
He formed an organising committee under supervision of DC Hyderabad which will contact with all stakeholders, provide them all required facilities and ensure display of prominent varieties of mangoes in the exhibition.
Besides display of mango varieties, he informed that stalls of other products including cultural corners will also be organised in the exhibition.
He said though the situation of COVID-19 would be cleared up to June 15 but the organisers should ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the exhibition.
