Syed Abul A'la Maududi is the name of continuous struggle and vision. If we study his life we find only one lesson that we should, first of all, follow the message of Allah and the Prophet (SAW). Then we should spread it to the whole world.
Maulana Maududi worked very hard and proved with arguments and examples that the welfare of mankind is only in Quran and Sunah. He wrote many books on economy, politics and sociology. His books on hijab and interest are authentic. In order to spread his mission, Maulana Maududi established an organised party Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP). It seldom happened in this world that a man who is a thinker, scholar, philosopher, writer and mohadis has established a political party.
Perhaps Maulana Maududi is the one and only personality of this world who organised a political movement in the form of JIP. He faced the hardships in prison for this purpose. Many people go to prison but it was the fate of Maududi that he made those days a source of welfare and guidance for the humanity.
When he visited jail he wrote the most popular book Tafheem-ul-Quran which is a unique gift for new generation. No doubt the book diverted millions of young people to the right path.
Maulana Maududi affected our age greatly, especially the students, with his literature. His aim was to guide the new generations and to save them from the attractions of the world. He wanted to prepare the youth for a continuous struggle, a struggle for becoming a true Muslim.
He proved himself a great preacher and a scholar of twentieth century. He made his teachings a guiding light for coming generations of every age. He is the continuation of Hazrat Shah Wali-Ullah, Hazrat Mujadad , Alf Sani and Hazrat Ali Hajvari.
The Creator wants such people in every age who can lead the people to the right path. Maududi did this act of virtue in our age. He became successful because he was an excellent preacher and a teacher of Islam. A successful preacher always convinces the people through his teachings. He makes his ideas dominant.
Although Maududi did not go to parliament or Senate, he argued and proved that there is a solution to every problem of life in Quran and Sunah. Islam as a system of life became an important part of Maududi’s politics, education economy and other fields of life.
We can see that the countries where it was difficult to talk about Islam, people are embracing this religion. Mosques are everywhere and young generation is feeling more attraction in Islam. These youths have made themselves a perfect model of Islam. They are working for Islamic revolution. It was a time when Islam was confined to mosque. Now we see Islamic values in offices, bazaars, courts and parliament. Of course it is a great success of international Islamic movement.
The philosophy of Maulana Maududi, Syed Qutab Shaheed and Syed Hasan al-Bana is behind all these Islamic movements.
